He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil and Mary (Zawastanek); and his brothers, William and Richard. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Lori Menard (Gary), Michael (Deana), Scott (Kim), Jerome, Bridgette Toigo (John), Mark and Aaron (Angela); his grandchildren, Katie Grove (Aaron), Malachi (Mykala), Devin, Tayah, Aiyana, Sarah, Samantha, Allison, Barrett, James, Brett, Adeline, Josephine, Michael and Gabriela; his sister Susan Belden of Amarillo, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Terese of Pittsburgh, PA and Tom Grzesikowski (Tami) of Seminole, FL..

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Chapel - Jackson (2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49203). A rosary will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church (1111 Carlton Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203).

In keeping with Jerry's generous and charitable spirit, the family requests donations be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Lingap Children's Foundation, Queen of the Miraculous Medal School, and Knights of Columbus Council #609.
