He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sorenson and Frances Sorenson (Fisher); his grandson Matthew B. Thompson; and his siblings, Joann Weis, Gene Sorenson, John Sorenson and Joe Sorenson.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Dowding (Leroy) of Charlotte, David Sorenson of Onondaga, Stephanie Wright (Curtis Reynolds) of Jackson and Steve Shepherd (Amber) of Jackson; his brother Gordon Sorenson of Council Bluffs, IA; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Sorenson of Wisconsin. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
