Clarence J. Vlietstra Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence J. Vlietstra (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Joanne Balkema; his son Joel R. Vlietstra; and his siblings, Betty Leep and Donald Vlietstra. He is survived by : his children, John Vlietstra (Cheryl) of Kalamazoo, Douglas Vlietstra (Sarah) of Kalamazoo and Jennie Vlietstra of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Levi (Rachel), Jessie (Timothy), Adam (Ruth), Andrew (Elizabeth), Nella, Jacob (Clair), Luke, Caleb, Emma and Caitlyn Vlietstra; his great grandchild Hendrik; his siblings, Harold Vlietstra, Glenn Vlietstra (Nel), Raymond Vlietstra (Linda), Paul Vlietstra (Phyllis), Janice VandenBerg (Dennis) and Allen Vlietstra (Robin); and his sister-in-law Betty Vlietstra. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be given to Reformed Heritage Christian School or Alternatives of Kalamazoo, in c/o the funeral home.
