He was predeceased by: his cousin Lauren Hughes; and his grandparents, Michael G. Matkovich, Kenneth D. Metke and Lorraine H. Metke. He is survived by: his parents, Terrence Metke and Nancy Metke; his sister Natalie; his grandmother Betty Matkovich; his aunts and uncles, Jean Matkovich (John Ramonez), Michael Matkovich, Kenneth Metke (Kathleen) and Kathleen Hughes (Thomas); his cousins, P. J., Sean Metke, Meghan and Erin Hughes; and also Emily Jo Markle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maher Funeral Home Tinley Park (17101 71st Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477). The military honors will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
