Dana J. Szyperski II Obituary

Dana "DJ" John Szyperski II passed away peacefully May 8th, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born May 6th, 1977, to Dana Szyperski and Deborah Howell. Each year on his birthday his mom calls him with, "You know it took 22 hrs and some, the pain!! You did not want to come out and meet the world. But finally, after 22 hrs and some I had a beautiful baby boy!".

DJ grew up in Pinconning on his Mimi and Pipi's farm. He went to Pinconning high school before transferring to Bay City Western where he graduated from in 1996. August of 1995, he welcomed his son Tyler into the world and instantly became a proud father. Growing up and into adulthood, hunting was always his most favorite fall activity, especially with his son. DJ was always learning something new and constantly making new friends everywhere he went. In October 2020 he married the love of his life, Heather. It was always very apparent to others that he was head over heels for her and his most favorite thing to do was pick on her every chance he got.

Surviving DJ is his wife, Heather, his son Tyler, his parents Deborah and Mike Howell, brother Mike (Valerie) Howell Jr, sister Joy Howell, mother and father in-law Philip and Connie Kleinebreil, sister-in-law Jessica Furlo, sister-in-law Amy (Mike) Corcoran, first wife Jessica Stafford and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

DJ is proceeded in death by his father Dana Szyperski, Mimi and Pipi Szyperski, Grandma Priest, Grandpa Tolliver, Aunt Karen, brother Steve Howell, and father-in-law Dave Stafford.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 3pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11am till time of service.
