She was predeceased by : her husband Ralph; and her brother Peter De Koker. She is survived by : her children, Kristine Heimler (Jack), Michael Bergsma (Nancy), Ralph Bergsma and Hugh Bergsma (Dulcie); her grandchildren, Michael Bergsma, David Bergsma (Selena), Courtney Nimtz (Justin), Clint Bergsma (Carrie), Shawn Bergsma, Gavin Bergsma and Nicholas Heimler (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Bella and Logan Heimler; her siblings, Neil De Koker (Karen), Hubert De Koker (Denise) and Kathy Ridout (David); and her sister-in-law Sandy De Koker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation, 100 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
