It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Ryynanen of Keweenaw Bay, Michigan, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Ryynanen and Eva Ryynanen (Saari); his sisters, Judy Boyd (Jim) and Sally Hurley; his parents-in-law, George, Hannah Heinonen, Tom and Virginia Heinonen; and his great grandchild Mark David Erkkila.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Ryynanen of Keweenaw Bay; his children, Denise Daavettila (Carl) of Chassell, Russell Ryynanen (Beth) of Houghton, Sandy Ryynanen of Chassell, Jeanne Tikkanen of Calumet, Ann Torola (David) of Calumet and Jana Kastamo (Dennis) of Howell; his siblings, Ken Ryynanen (Leona) of Houghton, David Ryynanen of Maine and Eva LaFave; and his mothers-in-law, Janet Hietala (Dennis) of South Range and Mary Hannus (John) of Minneapolis. He is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers & sisters.
