He is survived by: his parents, George Samuel and Gertrude DeWitt (Folkersma); his wife Joyce; his daughters, Judith Louise Cox (Gary) of Sparta, Patricia Ann Hirt (Tom) of Sault Ste and Marie; his daughter-in-law Karen DeWitt Gibson of Rudyard; his grandchildren, Jeremy Cox, Jason Cox (Kristen), William DeWitt (Christina), Bradley DeWitt (Ara), Karl DeWitt (Paige Bell), Jason Hirt (Jackie), James Hirt (Katey), Jessica Eitrem (Jacob) and Anna Joy Hirt; his great grandchildren, Claire, Tony, Faith, Sebastian, Emma, Abigail and Gwen; his siblings, Phyllis Baxter of Rudyard and Roger DeWitt (Winifred "Spike") of Des Moines, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Gladys Baxter of Allendale and Marge Baxter of Riverside.
