He is survived by : his former life partner Kathleen Yeadon of Ontonagon, Mi.; his stepson Gary Lackie; his wife Charlotte Rock of Pequaming, Mi.; his daughters, Rochelle Murphy of Grand Rapids, Mi., Susan Stearns (Roy) of Naples and Lynn O'Shasky (Kevin) of Eagle River; his stepson Robert of Sturgeon Bay; his sister Helen Ensign of L'Anse, Mi.; his grandchildren, Susan DeFabis (Andy) of Chandler, Julie Glover of Grand Rapids, Mi., Jennifer Brown of Rhinelander, Tom LeClaire (Lydia) of DePere and Erika Gatis (Dimitri) of Naples; his great grandchildren, Vincent Defabis (Katlin), Heather DeFabis, Megan, McKenna Brown and Mila Gatis; and his great great grandchildren, Jaxon and Aubrey DeFabis.
