He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Cayanus and Dorothy Cayanus (Sullivan); his daughters, Janice Lee and Julie Ann; his great grandchild Hayden Prince House; his siblings, Charles Cayanus and Jean Laux; his siblings-in-law, Rudy and Arlene Gourneau; his parents-in-law, Waino and Martha Hautamaki (Lungi); and his siblings-in-law, Peter Hautamaki (Doris), Richard Hautamaki (Sue) and Ruby Wallace (Calvin).
He is survived by : his wife Pauline Cayanus (Hautamaki); his daughters, Laura Mackey (Les) of Baraga, Susan Ingram (Todd) of Baraga and Catherine Maki (Todd) of Baraga; his grandchildren, Britney House, Terrence Mackey (Alisha), Dallas Maki, Gabriel Brunet (Dan), Hunter Maki, Olivia Frantti (Matthew) and Ireland Ingram; his great grandchildren, Ayden Mackey, Tanner Mackey, Cambreigh Brunet, Dane Brunet and Henry Frantti; his siblings, Peter Cayanus (Linda), Frank Gourneau (Jean), Max Gourneau, Roy Gourneau (Jean) and Linda Kunich (Lloyd); his brother-in-law John Hautamaki; and his aunts, June Sullivan and Bernice Myllymaki. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
