With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Christine Marie Hanson of Dewitt, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Christine left this world on August 14, 2025 at the age of 65, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Sokal; and her stepfather Richard Slabonek. She is survived by: her mother Jo Ann Slabonek; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Timothy, Natalie, Norianna, Naomi, Milena, Celeste, Christian, Ryan, Reese, Rosalena and Celina; her children, Michael Hanson (Emily), Matthew Hanson (Tina) and Catherine Hanson (Richard); her sister Julie Slabonek-Savage Fahringer (Charlie Wuerthele); and her pet Toby.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home Delta Chapel (6301 W St Joseph St, Lansing, MI 48917). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (102 W Randolph St, Lansing, MI 48906). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (2520 W Willow Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
