He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Velasquez and Urbana Velasquez (Garza). He is survived by: his wife Sherry (Nevins); and his children, Mark (Shelby), Joseph (Debby), Tracy Velasquez-Sloan (Jim), Kevin and Antonio (Ramie). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
