In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Carolyn Florence had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Carolyn Florence may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Turner and Ethel Turner (Hossler); her husband Thurly Groat; and her siblings, Sally Kalbfleisch and Henry "Del" Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Groat of Lapeer, Stephen Groat (Sharon) of Brown City and Jeff Groat (Amanda) of Manistee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as one great grandbaby.
A reception will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home (1021 S Lapeer Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446).
