She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Bechtel and Lorene Bechtel (Richardson); her husband Harold Smith; her stepson Alan Smith; and her brother Gordon Bechtel, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Michael Puchlak (Kathleen); her stepdaughters, Brenda Dawson (Ron) and Dawn Miller (Gary); her siblings, Gerald Bechtel and Judith Walker; and her close friend John Balog of Canada. She is also survived by several cousins, several nieces and nephews; also several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pomeroy Funeral Home - Lexington (5635 Main St, Lexington, MI 48450). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
