He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Garton and Mary Garton; and his siblings, Billy Garton, Jacky Garton, Carolyn Dixon, Nancy Bates and Teeny Gehrt.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Bates (Tom), Gloria Scott (Tim), Joyce Medved (Tom) and Pearl Medved (David). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
