He was predeceased by: his former wife Guadalupe Aguirre; and his siblings, Maria (Encarnación) of Jesus, Salvador (Elisa), Roberto (Ana), Esperanza (Antonio) and Manuel (Mirta).
He is survived by: his wife Fidencia; his children, Alicia (Pete), Eva (Jay), Alfredo (Paulina), Jaime (Gabriela) and Carlos; his son-in-law Sergio (Lilia); his grandchildren, Pablo, Eric, Alfredo, Elisa, Victor, Gabriela, Yiovani, Daniel, Natalie, Maria, Alan, Alessandra, Enrique and Marco; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Micaela, Nicolas, Emelia and Paul.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Cursillos of Christianity (Latino Cultural Pastoral Center).
