He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Clapper and Mamie Clapper (Robinson); his wife Patricia Sue Wilde; and his son Gary Wayne Clapper. He is survived by: his sons, David Clapper of Warren and Daniel Clapper (Stephanie) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Patrick Clapper (Angelia), Connie Cardillo (Anthony), Lindsey Lengel, Dustin Clapper and Travis Clapper; his sisters, Shirley Byrom (Jack), Amber Hackett and Sharon Bell; his sister-in-law Patsy Wilde; his great grandchildren, Kierstin, Amberlynn, Lillyanne, Patrick Martin, Jr., Damien and Aiden; his siblings' children, Paul Byrom, Diane Hayes, Cindy Assell, Cathy Hackett, Curtis Byrom, Laurie Bujno, Leon Wilde and Annette Schmidt; and also Paul Frost.
