With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Everett MacKey Sr. (Manistee, Michigan), born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ernest Mackey, Sr. and Mildred Bahr (Dale). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dean; his children, James E. Mackey, Jr. of Bear Lake, John W. Mackey (Shannon) of Bear Lake, Joel Mackey of Bear Lake and Sherry Ronning (Randy) of Manistee; his grandchildren, Alex Mackey (Tiffany), DuWane Maidens, Isaac Hamilton, Emma Hornkohl-Winlker, Abby Hornkohl, Lexie Ronning and Calli Ronning; his great grandchildren, Parker Mackey, Greyson Mackey and Brooks Mackey; his siblings, John Mackey, Jr. (Vicki) of Bear Lake, Dennis Mackey (Diane) of Kaleva, Robert Mackey of Bear Lake, Barbara Smoot (David) of Frankfort and David Bahr of Fremont, Indiana; and his stepsiblings, Jean Peterson of Buckley, Lawrence Bahr (Nita) of Theodore, AL, Donald Bahr of Grawn and Janice Long (Ronald) of Big Rapids. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
