He was predeceased by: his parents, Melinda Armbruster (Wagner) and Herman Arthur Armbruster; his wife Mary Lou; his parents-in-law, Ray and Louise Eppler; his brother Roy; his sister-in-law Clara Armbruster; his brother Edmund Armbruster; and his brother-in-law Clint Stroebel.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, June Armbruster, Ray (Martha Eppler) and Aileen Stroebel; his daughter Sue Johnson (Dave); his grandchildren, Meghan Akers (Ryan), Joshua Johnson (Prital), Benjamin Johnson (Ashley), Rebecca Johnson and Larry Armbruster (Penny); his great grandchildren, Noah, Lauren, Emily, Phil Armbruster (Michelle), Elisabeth, Caleb, Lara and Hans Akers; Eric, Tim and Sarah.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concordia University Ann Arbor-School of Nursing, Concordia Seminary (St. Louis, MO), Trinity Lutheran Church, Onekama - building fund, or YWAM Marine Reach (Donate to staff-Noah Armbruster).
