He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl James and Anna Dudley Murphey (Woodhal); his grandson Ronnie Hall; and his siblings, Earl "Joaquin" Murphey and Doris Glenn Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude "Trudy" May Darge; his children, David Murphey (late Lori), Beverly Hall (Steven), Brian Murphey (Jennifer) and Michael Murphey (Candy); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Brendan Murphey, Joshua, Bethaney Murphey (Kelsey Bouchard), Kristen Murphey (Jacob Woltjer), Katherine Murphey, Kelsie, Maylia Murphey, Courtney Stafford (Cameron), Trevor Howard (Kaylan DeWard) and Carissa Howard; his great grandchildren, Luka Woltjer, Noah Bouchard, Rylen Stafford, Maddie and Grayson Howard; his stepsister Patricia Markle (late Gordon); his stepmother Vera Penrod-Murphey; and his stepbrother Wayne Murphey.
