He is survived by: his mother-in-law Eleanor Sue Novotny; his wife Eleanor Doneske of Manistee; his son David Doneske (Dawn) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Alysa, Brittany and Caitlyn; and his friend Terry Swanson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
