He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Overla and Waneta Overla (Dorn); his siblings, Russell Overla, Gary "Jack" Overla and Sue Burden; and his nephew Randall Flater.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Overla of Manistee; his son Wayne Overla, Jr. (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Travis Fitch, Brynn Fitch, Violet Overla and Eli Overla; and his siblings, Patricia Faubert (Jim), LaRaine Duchon (Larry), Nancy Overla (Evert), Jimmie Overla (Cindy), Ken Overla (Connie), Joni Markiewicz, Shari Groenwald (Bryann) and Debra Overla. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home - Manistee (309 W Parkdale Rd, Manistee, MI 49660). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
