It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jody Whitis of Marine City, Michigan, born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Whitis and Catherine Whitis; his brother William B. Whitis; his parents-in-law, Justin and Sally Robb; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Robb and Laurie Schaaf.

He is survived by : his wife Sheila Whitis; his sons, Eric Whitis (Crystal) and Kyle Whitis; his grandchildren, Brayden and Grace Whitis; his siblings, Christy Whitis (Bonnie), Branda Achatz (Joe), Keith Whitehurst (Bobbie) and Cory Whitis (Carissa); and his close friend Matthew Wesch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
