We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2024, at the age of 94, Mary Lou Shackett of Marine City, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Lou Shackett to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Merrill and Dora Merrill; her husband Lawrence "Ray" Shackett Sr.; her children, David Shackett, Timothy Shackett and Julie Shackett; and her siblings, Robert Merrill, William Merrill, Virginia Regan and Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Currier.

She is survived by : her son Larry Shackett Jr. (Mary); her grandchildren, Bryan Shackett, Larry Shackett III (Marcy) and Anastasia Kantor (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Paige Shackett and Jeremy Kantor; and her daughter-in-law Michelle Shackett (Frank Kulwicki). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (4061 St Clair Hwy, East China, MI 48054). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the River Parish (610 S Water St, Marine City, MI 48039).
