She was predeceased by: her parents, Henrich H. Brandt and Arline A. Brandt (Boettcher); her husband Richard C. Coombs; her daughters, Shawn Marie and Ivy Lynn; and her siblings, Nelson Brandt and Joan James.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Ann Coombs-Gerou (Thomas) of Marquette, Shane Richard Coombs (Lauren) of Omro, WI, Aaron Charles Coombs (Angela) of Perkins, MI and Rhet Harrison Coombs (Wendy) of Marquette; her grandchildren, Andrew Coombs, Megan Schober, Kylie Coombs, Nicole Gerou-Churches, Reilly Coombs, Shayla Coombs, Ashlyn Coombs, Ryan Hunt, Rachael Hunt and Isaac Cole; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Orrin and Theo; and her siblings, Marjean LaFleche (Albert) of Hillman, MI, Janet Brandt of Swartz Creek, MI and Richard Brandt of Hillman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Phyllis's memory to the U.P. Children's Museum, 123 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 49855.
