She was predeceased by : her father Dewey Armstrong; her husbands, John Curson and Richard Powell; her son Steven Powell; and her sister Mary Jane Powell.
She is survived by : her mother Louisa Armstrong (Bader); her children, Richard Powell (Sue), Carman Coltson (Brian) and Carolyn Nightingale (Richard); her stepson James Curson; her siblings, Roland Armstrong, Sandra Bowler, Pat McMann, Laura Giddings and Glenda Tallieu; and her brother-in-law Mike Carson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one step grandchild.
