It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leroy Blackmer (Mayville, Michigan), born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on March 26, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Blackmer and Nellie Blackmer (Derocher); his siblings, Robert Blackmer (Gloria), Ernest Blackmer, Mildred Tompkins (Jack) and Margaret Harmon; and his sister-in-law Diana Blackmer.

He is survived by : his wife Sheryl Thorp Blackmer of Bushnell, FL; his children, Anthony James Blackmer of Caro, MI and Jamie Beals (Patrick) of Muskegon, MI; his siblings, Edwin of Millington, MI, Rick Blackmer and Sue Marlow (Tom) of Mayville, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Harmon and Kathy Blackmer.
