It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vermeulen of Menominee, Michigan, born in Norway, Michigan, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Vermeulen and Inez Vermeulen (Famiani); his sister Beverly; his brother-in-law Ronnie Ball; and his close friends, Judy Geifer and Joey Spera.

He is survived by : his children, Jason Vermeulen of Wallace, MI and Amy McDonald (Alex) of Menominee, MI; his grandchildren, Nick Vermeulen of Peshtigo, WI, Dr. Colton Fernstrum (Deidra) of Jackson, MS, Cade Fernstrum and Ava McDonald of Menominee, MI; his sister Judy Ball of Vulcan, MI; his friends, David Wills and Lowell Bengry; and his caregivers, Morgan, Val, Sharon, Steve and Iris.
