She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Inman and Mae Inman (Smith); her son Charles Roach; and her grandson Jesse Alswager. She is survived by : her husband Milt Alswager; her children, Christina Kobs and James Roach; her stepchildren, Tom Alswager (Amy) and Susan Passow (Robert); her grandchildren, Sara, Samantha, Joseph "Joey", Erin, Rachel and Emily; and her siblings, Donna Hoefgen (Jim), Ellen Hayes and Edward Inman (Deborah). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephew, great great nephews and cousins.

Marie worked at Wal-Mart in various capacities such as in the personal office, greeter and organizing charity fundraisers.
