He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Handrich and Ruth Handrich (Yoder); and his siblings, Shirley Miller and Dwight Handrich (Grace). He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Brenda Jean Rinke (Dan), Jeff Burton (Diana) and Trent Handrich; his siblings, Dean Handrich, Dorothy Kauffman and Sharon Holberton; and his brother-in-law Lowell Miller. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
