He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bernadine Lathan, Charlene Page and Jesse Lathan; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Page, Sr. and Morris Easley, Sr.; and his daughter Bernadine Lathan.
He is survived by: his spouse Vernice Windless; his children, Richelle Patterson-Antoine (Lloyd), Katrenia Windless, Latwan Windless, Walter Windless, Jerry Windless, Jerome Lathan, Lauri Henry and Cyndi Konkel; and his siblings, Janie Lathan, Geraldine Cochran (Gary), Betty Rhinehart (Darnell), Tina Oliver (Michael), James Lathan, Jr. (Carrie) and Joseph Lathan (Pamela). He is also survived by Eight Nephews, nine Great Nephews, eleven Nieces, six Great Nieces, and a host of cousins and special friends.
