With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Dawn Norkett of Montague, Michigan, born in Watersmeet, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Nye and Evelyn Popps (Thorton); her husband Don Norkett; her stepfather Loyal Popps; and her siblings, Billie Rae Carpenter, Beverly Ryan, Jacquelyn Lewis, Keith Nye and Shannon Popps.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Theil (John), Melody Bell, Dawn Dixon (Jerry), Loyal Norkett (Allison), Donald Norkett Jr. (Sally Mcauley), Kelly Ingersol (David) and Bernard Norkett; and her siblings, Susan Sokolowski (Roy) and Sherwood Popps (Pawn). She is also survived by 56 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
