It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas Allen Bassett of Morley, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 33, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donald, Lois Brooks, Arvin and Shirley Powell; his uncle Don Brooks; and his sister Teresa Brooks.
He is survived by: his son Aidan Bassett; his parents, Kelley Powell and Doug Powell; his siblings, Mike Brooks (Shayna), Cody Powell, Felicia Beemer, Kayla Beemer and Hayley Beemer; and his nieces and nephews, Damien, Maverick, Nada, Emma, Ryan, Annabella, David and Annette.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Woods Stanwood Free Methodist Church (7486 Stanwood Dr, Stanwood, MI 49346).
