He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Smith and Cecilia Smith (Turcotte); his children, Jim "Jimo" Smith, Jr. and Jesse Smith; and his siblings, Delores, Harold, Daniel, Timothy, Samuel, Abraham, David and Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Kelli Smith of Mt. Pleasant; his daughters, Nicole Lehman (Erich) and Isabella Taylor (Kevin) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Lukas Smith, Erich Lehman, Jr., Logan Lehman, Mycahh Lehman, Vegas Lehman and Sagelee Lehman; his goddaughter Emari Mojica; his siblings, Joseph Smith and Faith Davis of Tennessee; his nieces, Crystal Ramos (Juan), Brandy Smith and Toni Smith; his great-nieces, Anjelina Reyes, Sariah Farrell, Abigail Farrell and Naomi Farrell; and his nephews, Robin Drews, Casey Smith, Juan Ramos, Justin Weathers, Justin Haughton, Matthew Grandy, Dominick Grandy, Cole Davis and Clayton Davis. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Clark Family Funeral Chapel (114 S Bradley St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
