Nettie Ann Prokopenko Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nettie Ann Prokopenko of National City, Michigan, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Omar Pobanz and Esther Pobanz (Gerth); and her siblings, Lloyd (Vern Pobanz), Shirley Reige, Norma Jean VanBevern and Dorothy Reige (Carolyn Hoppe).
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Rasmussen (late Dean) of Cass City and Alan Prokopenko (Sally) of Wisner; her grandchildren, Kayla Prokopenko, Jordyn Ricker (Brenden), Shane Rasmussen (Priscilla) and Taylor Rasmussen; and her great grandchildren, Hadley, Lainey and Renley.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home (538 S Beck St, Sebewaing, MI 48759). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
