He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Lewis and Rosalyn Lewis; his son Ronald; and his brothers, Joseph and Basil.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Long; his close friends, Don and Roseann; his children, William Jr. (Gemma), Basil (Marguerite) and Nancy Heltsley (Mark); his stepchildren, Teresa Putnam, Sharon Putnam and Kevin Putnam (Joe Blodgett); his grandchildren, Brandon (Nicki), Samantha (Mark) and Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Harper, Maceson, Brooklyn, Bentley and Jasper.
