Barbara Calnin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Calnin of New Buffalo, Michigan, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Sophie Holst and Frank Kocur; her siblings, Tommy, Bobby and Phyllis; her adoptive mother Helen Schoch; her daughter Sherry Calnin; her husband George Calnin; her daughters, Rhonda Perna of Chicago and Mary Kelly of Ann Arbor; her grandchildren, Kristen Kerns (Jeff), Steffen Perna, Rachel Perna, Michael Perna and Nicholas Kelly; and her great grandchildren, Marcin and Josey Kerns.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary of the Lake Alter and Rosary Society.
