It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leocadia Napierala (New Buffalo, Michigan), born in Michigan City, Indiana, who passed away on July 27, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Cizewski and Stella Cizewski (Szczepanek); her former life partner Hubert Buczkowski; her husband Stanley Napierala; her brothers, Walter, Edward, Joseph, John Cizewski and Eugene Jankowski; her sister-in-law Helen Jankowski; her sisters, Irene, Genevieve and Esther; and her close friend Norma Martin.
She is survived by : her children, Cynthia Flythe of Sacramento, California and Thomas Buczkowski (Eileen) of La Porte, Indiana; her stepchildren, Linda Evans (Jerry), Cindy Wooden (John) of La Porte and Mark Napierala of Michigan City, Indiana; her grandchildren, Lisa Zerbes (Peter), Mark Buczkowski (Dena) and Meredith Scalise (Vincent); her stepgrandchildren, Matt Evans (Sophia), Sarah Wooden and Brian Evans; her great grandchildren, Kylie Zerbes, Peyton Zerbes, Connor Buczkowski and Mario Scalise; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Adnan Evans, Kenzie and Maddie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
