We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2019, at the age of 83, Janyce Wiersema (New Era, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roland Valkenburg and Jeanette Van Valkenburg; her daughter Dawn Lynn; and her brothers, Roger Alan and Ronald Jack Van Valkenburg.

She is survived by : her husband John T. Wiersema; her children, Robin Harper, Jeff, Linda Wiersema, Amy and Steve Deem; her grandchildren, John, Samantha Harper, Alyssa Harper, Riley, Sophie, Sadie, Audrey, Dylan Deem and Lance Zaverl; her great grandchildren, Carmen Dault, Dakota Harper and Hunter Zaverl; and her sister Joy Reidsma (Dale).
