She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Valkenburg and Jeanette Van Valkenburg; her daughter Dawn Lynn; and her brothers, Roger Alan and Ronald Jack Van Valkenburg.
She is survived by: her husband John T. Wiersema; her children, Robin Harper, Jeff, Linda Wiersema, Amy and Steve Deem; her grandchildren, John, Samantha Harper, Alyssa Harper, Riley, Sophie, Sadie, Audrey, Dylan Deem and Lance Zaverl; her great grandchildren, Carmen Dault, Dakota Harper and Hunter Zaverl; and her sister Joy Reidsma (Dale).
