He was predeceased by : his daughter Kathy Altland (Tom); his daughter-in-law Wendy Fekken (Selig); and his siblings, Johnny, Jake (Jeanette), Francis (Rica), John (Dorcas), Ben Jr. (Eunice), Harold, Winifred Plescher (Herm), Genevieve Houseman (John) and Doris Lohman (Wes).
He is survived by : his spouse Mary Sturtevant; his sons, John (Pam), Rick (Jane), Nick (Linda), Jim (Tammy) and Dan (Lori); and his sister-in-law Joyce Fekken. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
