It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Lee Karlson of Newberry, Michigan, born in Boyne City, Michigan, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Eddy and Pauline Eddy (Kelts); her husband William J. Karlson; her siblings, Barbara Simmons (Ray), Sally Burke (Clarence) and Kimball Eddy (Judith); and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Stucke, Tommy Smith and Helen Ojala.
She is survived by : her children, Raymond Severance (Vickie) of Hessel, Lora McMahon (Pat) of Kincheloe, Diane Lehto (Martin) of Newberry, Steven Severance (Cindy) of Kincheloe and Bill Karlson of Newberry; her grandchildren, Scott Severance, Robin Lopez, Valerie Edwards, Taylor Severance, Shawn McMahon, Michael McMahon, Stacy Zolfaghari, Jennifer Bleich, Robert Lehto, Steve Severance, Jennifer Woodruff, Lori Jo Severance, Melanie Middleton and Samantha Severance; and her siblings, D. Marie Smith of Newberry, Robert Eddy (Louise) of Newberry and Judith Stucke of Lomira, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
