He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Michelin and Aline Michelin (Couture); and his siblings-in-law, Doris Michelin, Diana Bergmann, Michael Zelenock, Bruce Bergmann, Charles Bergmann and James Bergmann.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Bergmann; his children, Ann Piereson (Stephen) of Ishpeming, Dr. David Michelin (Lucinda) of Traverse City, Dr. Sara Michelin of Charlevoix and Dr. Maria Michelin of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Mary Lentz (Robert), Rachel White (Matthew), Dr. Alexandra Michelin, Dr. Erika Michelin, Jessie Michelin, Elle Barrett, Abigail Barrett and Lucien Michelin; his great grandchildren, Henry Lentz and White; his siblings, Dr. Robert Michelin, Peter Michelin (Linda), Mary Zelenock, Louise Smolarek (David) and Joseph Michelin (Janet); and his siblings-in-law, Doug Bergmann (Louise), Jack Bergmann (Sherrel), Kenneth Bergmann (Sue), Susan Bergmann, Sheryl Bergmann, Eileen Bergmann and Claire Bergmann. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to the present gathering restrictions due to COVID 19, a friends and family gathering and liturgical prayer service will take place at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Newberry on Sunday, September 20, 2020, starting at 6 pm.
