We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Grace Portenga (Norton Shores, Michigan), born in Muskegon, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Corneal Holtrop and Hilda Holtrop (VanDyke); her husband Conrad Portenga; and her siblings, James Holtrop, Oren Holtrop, John Holtrop, Frank Holtrop, Alvin Holtrop, Henrietta VanRandwyk and Evelyn VanRandwyk.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Boersma of Reno, NV and Mariel Poel (Dave) of Fremont; her grandchildren, Jeremy Boersma (Timothy), Jennifer McClendon (Aaron), Rebecca Sytsema (Scott) and Jonathan Poel (Susan); and her great grandchildren, Zoe, Sydney, Owen Sytsema, Miles, Frances McClendon, Molly, Quinn and Claire Poel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Portenga's name to Muskegon Christian School, Western Michigan Christian Middle and High School or Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
