It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Paul Funke of Ontonagon, Michigan, born in Baraga, Michigan, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert E. Funke and Myrtle Agnes Funke (Broemer); his sister Helen; his sons, John Paul, Robert and Fritz; his stepchildren, John Strancel Jr. and Mary Lynn Strancel; his grandson Jeremy Funke; and his daughters-in-law, Beverly and Tina Funke.
He is survived by : his wife Lois; his children, Gladys Funke, Mary Majurin (Don), Gaylord Funke, Peter Funke (Kim), Larry Funke (Lori) and Dan Funke (Paula); his daughter-in-law Florina Funke; his stepdaughters, JoAnn Hickey (Jeff), Beth Fors, Donna Roberts (Reese) and Tammy Strasser (John); and his brothers, Albert, Bernard, Donald and Bill Funke. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.
