He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Olds and Kaye Mercado (Manuel); his granddaughters, Melinda Lark Braten (Valentine Jr.), Alicia Forkel and Megan Mercado (Ryan Cassidy); his great grandchildren, Valentine III, Astrid, Evee and Dixie; and his siblings, Harold Helvey (Geneva) and Evelyn Rushing (Ira).
