He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic Gessner and Jane Gessner (Battle); and his brother Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Ryan Gessner and Mark Gessner (Sophia); his stepchildren, David Wildermuth and Jenny Cooper (Dewayne); his grandchildren, Sean, Grant Gessner, Christopher Wildermuth, Daniel Cooper, Allen Cooper (Amanda) and Tori Cooper; his great grandchildren, Arica, Nicole, Austin Wildermuth and Anna Marie Cooper; and his siblings, John Gessner and Janet Gessner-Randall.
