He is survived by: his wife Helen Esther Fesko; his children, James Jr. Beattie (Lori), Mark Beattie and Robin Beattie; his grandchildren, Adam Beattie (Stephanie), Brittany, Shelby and Cassie Beattie; and his siblings, Howard Beattie (Kathleen), Betty Andrew (Glen), Sally Hunt and Susan Beattie.
