She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Vairo and Minnie Vairo (Barinotti); her husbands, Gerald Balcom and Gale; and her brother Donald Basso.

She is survived by: her children, Timothy Balcom, Joy Eddy (Gregg) and Sandra Mills; and her siblings, Richard Vairo (Carolyn) and Nancy Rathbun. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions given in Jo-Ann's name are suggested to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
