He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Freeman and Dorothy Alice Tobey (Aldlfinger); and his siblings, Mike Tobey, Mona Robinson and Connie Tobey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Tobey, Nancy Tobey, Ray Tobey (Leisa) and Mary Tobey Gonzalez. He is also survived by his 8 nieces and nephews, his 6 great nieces and nephews, and his many friends.
In lieu of flowers, John would suggest the planting of a tree in his honor as he did enjoy nature.
