He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence W. Unterbrink and Helen I. Unterbrink (Hayhoe); his former wife Judith Dwyer; his wife Judy; and his sisters, Irene Smith and Margaret White.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Unterbrink (Alanna), Amy Hartman (Jason) and Michael Unterbrink (Carrie); his grandchildren, Tyler, Addison, Jacob, Derek and Dustin; and his brother Paul Unterbrink (Marsha).
